The certification scheme is unique because it combines all kinds of practical matters like daily record keeping, sample taking, residue analysis and shared databases.
Eventually this is to lead to increased efficiency in the chain and an improved market position for certified companies. The scheme has been developed in close collaboration with experts from the prodcution and trade channel and pilots were carried out both in the Netherlands and abroad.
The highest-scoring MPS-Fruit & Vegetables participants are allowed to carry the Triple-A
label: Vita Certa. The MPS certification schemes are applied in more than 60 countries
worldwide, including the US and Japan.
